After watching several videos about human topology (like Jonathan Williamson's courses) and after following Angela Guenette's (great) tutorial Blenderella, I collected some reference images and sculpted and retopologized this human body.
The material is quite simple and I didn't intent to create a super realistic skin shader. I used a normal map baked from the sculpt, a bump map for adding details (mostly on the face) , a noisy texture to add additional bumpiness all over the body and a really basic combination of diffuse, glossy and SSS shaders. I really like the final result for the eyes. Probably because I didn't make them. I used the human eye released by MmAaXx on Blendswap.
For retopology in Blender, I used the setup described by Zacharias Reinhardt. For the bump map, I painted it directly over the 3D model in Cycles. Yanal Sosak has made a great tutorial about painting bump map in Cycles. Very useful to know we can now use Cycles for bump painting.
